Medic / safety officer

Function

Provide emergency trauma care, administer pre hospital trauma life support, basic- and advanced life support techniques and primary health care including basic general practitioner tasks for 60 to 120 pob. An autonomous role, involving the planning and execution of all aspects of offshore medical care, occupational health service and safety issues. Liaise with onshore physician for medical advise and medivac. Maintain all relevant medical documentation on all onboard personnel Induct new personnel to vessel, rig or platform safety and emergency instructions Maintain all emergency medical equipment position around the vessel or rig Administrative duties including mailbag handling, typing or reports, updating databases, recording of minutes of meetings, vendor and crew timesheets, rota deviations, helicopter movement planning and crew changes. Maintain material and safety datasheets and disseminate information to onboard personnel. Initiate, inspect, prepare and disseminate findings of weekly hygiene report. Basic computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook and various special computer programs. Carrying out drinking water sampling in accordance with company rules Contribution to monthly safety meeting on health issues and onboard instructions and education in general hygiene, medical care and instructions to preventive medical problems and advise for a healthy work and living circumstances.

Requirements

Nurse A / State Registered Nurse Medical Doctor Offshore Medics Course Internationl Nebosh Certifate (diploma prefered) Valid BOSIET etc ONLY medics with offshore experience can apply

Technical Superintendent

Function

One of our client is a private company offering ship management, project management for large conversion and rebuilding projects as well as consulting services for offshore vessels, jack-up and semi-submersible platforms either owned or under management. This company is operating worldwide for international clients. To enhance the Head office organisation in Rotterdam, we are looking for a Technical Superintendent to strengthen the Technical Department.

You tasks will be:
- preparing and monitoring vessel budgets, dry-docking, new-building and repairs
- reporting to clients and vessel Owners
- liaise with Flag State Authorities and Classification Societies
- you are responsible for technical aspects of daily vessel operations
- you work according the procedures of client’s management system and update these if and when required in close cooperation with the QHSE Manager and Operations Manager
- reporting to the Operations Manager
- cooperating with the Marine Superintendent on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements

Ideal Profile
- Technical education
- Maritime/Technical background (HTS or equivalent) with experience offshore and shorebased in the offshore industry.
- Desire for travel (up to 120 days per year with mutual agreement).

Skills
- Pro-active technical problem solver.
- Self-motivated and focused with large sense of responsibility.
- Impatience and stubbornness are considered assets.
- Ability to communicate accurately and succinctly to technicians, vessels and clients in both English and Dutch.
- Calculated risk taker and decision maker with confidence to make decisions when working remotely from the office.
- Experience with MS Office applications and preferably MS Project.
- Experience with Planned Maintenance systems and preferably TM Master.
